From Novo Brazil Brewing co-founder Joel Tubao, Market on 8th opens today with more than a dozen food & retail vendors, a cafe, and an outdoor beer garden. Aimed at becoming a community hub for dining and entertainment, nearly every restaurant and store in the Market has ties to the National City neighborhood. Tubao and his family business have been operating in the community since the 1950s. Chef Phillip Esteban, whose Weapon Ramen is the only stand with its own dedicated seating, was raised in National City not far from the market.
The 11,000 square-foot Market On 8th food hall in National City features 14 unique food and artisan goods vendors, and a central beer bar.
